At Dotsy the Clown Store, we want every aspect of your celebration to be as perfect as our balloon decorations! While we strive to make every order magical, we understand that sometimes costumes or party supplies might need to be returned or exchanged.
Our return policy is designed to be as flexible and cheerful as our clown performances – making the process smooth and hassle-free!
📅 Return & Exchange Timeframe
We happily accept returns and exchanges within 15 days of you receiving your items. This gives you plenty of time to try on costumes and inspect your party supplies!
✅ Conditions for Returns & Exchanges
To be eligible for a return or exchange, your item must be:
- In its original condition (unworn, unwashed, and undamaged)
- In the original packaging with all tags attached
- Accompanied by your original order confirmation or receipt
🎭 Special Note on Costume Returns
Costumes must be returned with all original packaging and tags. For hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns on costumes that have been worn or have makeup stains.
🚫 Non-Returnable Items
To ensure the safety and quality of our products, the following items cannot be returned or exchanged:
- Airbrush Supplies & Brushes/Sponges (for hygiene reasons)
- Cheek FX & Glitter Tattoos (opened cosmetic products)
- Coloured Hairspray & Hair products (once opened)
- Henna (perishable product)
- Balloons (once inflated or used)
- Custom or personalized items
- Sale or clearance items

Step 2: Receive Your Return Authorization
Within 1-2 business days, we’ll email you a Return Authorization Number and shipping instructions.
Step 3: Package and Ship Your Return
Securely package your items including:
- The item in its original condition
- All original packaging and tags
- A copy of your order confirmation
- The Return Authorization Number visible on the outside
Step 4: Send to Our Celebration Headquarters

💰 Refund Information
Refund Processing Time
Once we receive and inspect your return:
- Refunds are processed within 3-5 business days of receipt
- Your bank or credit card company may take additional 5-10 business days to post the refund to your account

Refunds will be issued to your original payment method:
- Credit/Debit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, JCB)
- PayPal payments
Note: Original shipping fees are non-refundable. For exchanges, we’ll cover the cost of shipping the replacement item to you!

Prefer a different size, color, or item? We’re happy to help!
- Exchanges are subject to product availability
- If your exchange costs more than the original item, you’ll pay the difference
- If your exchange costs less, we’ll refund the difference
- We cover standard shipping for exchange items
📦 Return Shipping Costs
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless:
- We sent you the wrong item
- The item arrived damaged or defective
- There was an error in our fulfillment
We recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance for valuable items.
🎉 Damaged or Incorrect Items
If your item arrived damaged or if we sent the wrong product, please contact us immediately at [email protected] with photos of the issue. We’ll quickly send a replacement and provide a prepaid return label at no cost to you!
